That didn’t end a nightmare
You wouldn’t sing a song about me
A disenchanted lullaby is all I feel I’m worth
Forgive me when I say I care
Because that time has passed
You proved to in my time of despair
That all you have is yourself
Myself? is who has shown me the light
My being is directly unbeknownst to him
He’s shown who my friends, they really are
And cast light on those I dislike most
Those people that talk when nobody else is there
Those people that honestly don’t care
Those people couldn’t give a damn
Those people that fake friendship for personal game
No longer will I take this from any one of them
If those people really care, is it sin to ask them to call
Is it sin to have an idle banter, an e-mail of wellbeing
But no they never come and my so called friends true colours have shown themselves
Once and for all I’ve seen
Their selfishness and callousness is all too apparent now
For I see with true clarity that which I saw as blurred and dazed..
