Friendship

Oh how we laughed,
As we ran along the sand.
Playing tag and tackling,
Walking hand in hand.
Four girls destined to their own
future and dreams alike,
Noone could steal their happiness
Nor their pure innocent delight.
The camera flashed and captured
The moment they would never forget,
The happiness of their friendship,
The waves, sand and sunset.
Perfection in a moment,
Each face set with a smile,
A moment lost in time,
A memory remembered for a while.
School disbanded,
we all soon lost touch,
That memory lay forgotten
Until I missed you all too much.
I missed that feeling of belonging,
Missed that feeling of pure bliss,
Where nothing can hold us back,
Except the longing of friendship that I miss.
This poem my darlings
I write to you and stress,
That no matter where we end up,
Our friendship will always remain the best.
