Restlessness agony

Well as you might have read in another post I made earlier on this morning NZ time, my dog Zara at 18 months is getting spayed today . Was so sad taking her to the vets when we had to place her in the kennel (she's a smart cookie and tried to bolt numerous times hahaha) to await her operation. Well I have a lot of time on my hands today and inbetween all my pacing around and what not I came up with this ... so here you all go (poor folk having to read it now if ya decide to go this far LOL ). What's the bet the next time she has to go and see Stu (vet's name) she won't be so and tail wagging, like she has done in the past. Apparently she's the only one that goes in there all happy like hahaha.
RESTLESSNESS AGONY
All this waiting around
Is so hard to do.
Feel like a cigarette,
Yet never wanted to try one before now
Or perhaps a scotch on the rocks,
Despite being a vodka woman by trait.
Need to find something to calm these unsteady nerves.
Longing for news
Time is passing me by so slowly.
Don't think I will survive the entire day,
So many hours left to go.
Too much time on my hands,
What to do as I wait anxiously by the phone?
Read, watch tv, I just can't sit still.
Pacing up and down the house,
Driving everyone around me nuts.
Bouncing your soccer ball I brought just last week new
Up and down and all around.
Thinking of all the times we've had,
Both the good and the bad over the past 18 months.
And hoping like crazy there are yet many more to come.
Can't now imagine my life without you in it now
Hope that fate is kind to me, to us.
That you decide to stay a while longer
And that you pull on through with no complications arising.
